Time to say goodbye to Berlin...

When I moved to Berlin in June 2004 I had no idea how long I would stay or what I would do after the first couple of months.  The following eight years have brought a lot of ups and downs, some of the most amazing experiences of my life.  I am grateful for everything that happened here - I would not be where I am today if not for all the things that happened in Berlin.

Berlin is a really great place, diverse, fun, and colorful.  I really enjoyed living here.  And in particular I am grateful to all my wonderful friends in Berlin.  I tried to meet up with all of you to say goodbye in person - my apologies to those with whom I did not manage to meet up.  I promise I will be back soon...

In addition to organising my move and saying my goodbyes to everyone, I also spent my last few days in Berlin wandering around the city and capturing a few of its highlights.  Luckily, most of the time the sun was shining and displaying beautiful blue skies - Berlin showed me its prettiest side to say goodbye!

The Reichstag - what a fun place to work at...

The German constitution: Art. 1: Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar...

 Brandenburg Gate

Potsdamer Platz and the oldest traffic light in town...
Rathaus Schöneberg.  Close to where I first lived in Berlin - and the place where Kennedy said: Ich bin ein Berliner.

Rooftop view of Berlin from Hackscher Markt

The Fernsehturm...  so pretty!!

 Gendarmenmarkt

Some favorite foods to say goodbye to...

 Oranienburger Straße

Diversity in Berlin - so many colors, so much fun!
